Information Security Analyst
Job Description
The Information Security Analyst I supports OSF HealthCare’s mission by evaluating, planning, designing, configuring, and implementing security controls to protect computer networks from cyber-attacks. The role also operates and monitors intrusion detection and prevention capabilities, conducts security risk analysis, and helps align systems and configurations with established security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, design, configure, and implement security systems to protect the organization’s computer networks from cyber-attacks.
- Assist with setting and maintaining security standards.
- Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and maintain installed systems while supporting end users.
- Operate and monitor network and host-based intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Recommend security solutions based on identified needs and risk exposure.
- Advise on systems and application-level security configurations.
- Investigate and mitigate security risks as required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science.
- Experience: 1 year of Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity experience with an Associate’s degree, or 3 years of Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity experience.
- Computer skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Healthcare security knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare information technology or cybersecurity at a level normally achieved through a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or (ISC)2 Associate. Other IT-related certifications will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work-related experience within the healthcare information technology or cybersecurity industry.
- Experience with key OSF applications.

Compensation
USD 34 - 40 per hour
