Job Description

Booz Allen Hamilton provides a path to protect national security from an onsite role at Ford Island, Hawaii. This Data Security Engineer position focuses on architecting, deploying, and operating security solutions for DoW clients in the Indo-Pacific, leveraging data security tools and endpoint detection and response to monitor, detect, and respond to threats. You will help establish a Zero Trust posture, collaborate with a cross-discipline team, and mentor engineers as they grow into frontline defense professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and operate security solutions for DoW clients in the Indo-Pacific
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to potentially malicious cyber activity that could compromise data, systems, or the mission using data security tools and EDR
  • Develop standard operating procedures and configurations to strengthen Zero Trust security posture
  • Collaborate with a multi-discipline Zero Trust engineering team to enhance design and operations
  • Mentor the next generation of advanced cybersecurity engineers to prepare them for frontline defense roles

Requirements

  • Experience designing, deploying, and configuring data security solutions
  • Experience with Elastic for visibility and analytics
  • Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools such as Forcepoint, Trellix, or Symantec
  • Experience with cyber event analytics and workflow
  • Experience documenting and diagramming workflow processes
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Compensation

The projected annual salary range for this role is USD 86,900 to USD 198,000. Final compensation is influenced by factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as contract-specific considerations.

Clearance

Secret clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
