Cybersecurity Technician

Protect information system assets while helping the organization strengthen security visibility, incident readiness, and compliance. This hybrid role supports an expanding cybersecurity team at Enersys Delaware Inc, working closely with internal teams to deploy and standardize cybersecurity controls across global operations and critical systems. As a Cybersecurity Technician, you will monitor security alerts and events, investigate potential breaches, and document findings with recommended mitigations. The role also supports compliance efforts aligned to frameworks such as ISO 27001, CMMC, NIST CSF, TISAX, Essential Eight, EU CRA, and NIS2, while contributing to security tooling, simulated phishing, and ongoing research into emerging threats.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents; document findings and recommend mitigations
• Support regulatory compliance efforts to help the organization adhere to frameworks including ISO 27001, CMMC, NIST CSF, TISAX, Essential Eight, EU CRA, NIS2, and other relevant guidelines
• Deploy and standardize cybersecurity solutions across global operations and critical systems
• Coordinate and deliver simulated phishing campaigns to assess employee security awareness
• Research and summarize emerging security trends, threats, and attack methods
• Maintain security tools such as Data Security, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and other security software
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Two or more years of practical experience in an information security role
• Technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity (preferred)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Security+, ISC2 CC, or similar certifications (preferred but not required)
• Problem management and resolution skills, with project management skills; knowledge of generally accepted security principles
• Ability to analyze data, resources, and schedules to make decisions that affect a project on a regular basis
• Travel required: up to 5%
• Physical demands: office setting; minimal physical demands expected
• Employment contingent upon qualifying as a “U.S. person” under 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 (including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees)

Hybrid Schedule

• Monday and Friday: Work from home
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: Onsite at the Reading, PA office

Tools and Frameworks

Experience with ISO 27001, CMMC, NIST CSF, TISAX, Essential Eight, EU CRA, NIS2, as well as SIEM, Data Security, endpoint protection, and relevant security certifications such as Security+ and ISC2 CC is aligned with the role.

Compensation: USD 72,700 to 109,200 per year.

Location: Reading, PA (hybrid).
