Cybersecurity Operations Analyst

Cybersecurity Operations Analyst role focused on day-to-day security operations, monitoring, and support across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity environments. This hybrid position based in Houston, TX or Tampa, FL supports incident triage, remediation activities, and ongoing security tooling management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day cybersecurity support to the organization.
• Monitor, manage, and support security tools and technologies from a security perspective.
• Collaborate with MSSP / SIEM partners for incident management and escalations.
• Support network and perimeter security including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN.
• Support endpoint security and endpoint protection using EDR/AV.
• Support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) activities.
• Support cloud security across Google Workspace, Google Cloud, SaaS, and AWS.
• Support O365 security.
• Assist with VAPT, remediation tracking, and corrective action support.
• Assist with security incident handling and coordination.
• Support identity and access management through day-to-day operational activities.
• Monitor security changes, patches, and configuration compliance.
• Work with IT and business teams on security initiatives and related projects.
• Maintain thorough documentation and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge and experience with Delinea, Proofpoint, Threat Locker, Netskope, Sentinel One, CISCO Meraki, and Fortinet.
• Experience with Active Directory & GPO, Fortinet firewall, Okta, Google Cloud Identity, Microsoft Entra ID, and Mobile Device Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical work experience).
• 5-7 years total experience in an Information Security support role, including 4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity operations experience.
• CompTIA Security+ (preferred), CEH (preferred), GSEC (preferred), CISSP (preferred), or equivalent security certifications.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with clear technical communication and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
