Job Description

Join a mission-driven team supporting government customer success in Springfield, VA (onsite). This full-time Cybersecurity Engineering Specialist III role offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $155,000 (pay commensurate with experience) and includes benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K, along with other possible benefits as provided. What you’ll do in this role is evaluate and verify cybersecurity systems and products across their full life cycle, with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures tied to threats against information networks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide feedback to design engineers and evaluate end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products across their entire life cycle.
  • Conduct research and assess the technical performance of software products, segments, and systems.
  • Ensure products and systems meet requirements and applicable government information assurance and cybersecurity standards through formal verification methods.
  • Verify and validate systems with a focus on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Prepare assessments and cyber threat profiles for current and planned products using sophisticated testing, research, and analysis.
  • Participate in design reviews for hardware and software components to ensure applicability to the current system and requirements traceability.
  • Review test plans and procedures to confirm they verify and validate requirements.
  • Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements.
  • Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • High School Diploma and minimum 10 years of related experience, or an Associate’s Degree with minimum 8 years, or a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 6 years, or a Master’s Degree with minimum 4 years.
  • Ability to develop new concepts and processes.
  • Ability to analyze root causes and resolve issues.
  • Ability to support junior-level technicians and specialists.
  • Ability to perform all tasks of lower-level technicians or specialists.
  • Ability to work independently, actively participate on integrated teams, and lead a task, project, or team.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $150,000 to $155,000 (pay commensurate with experience).
Full-time benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
