Cybersecurity Engineer Team Lead

Booz Allen Hamilton is hiring a cybersecurity engineering team lead to support Enterprise Security Operations Center operations in North Las Vegas, NV. In this onsite role, you will supervise multiple SOC teams and oversee monitoring across unclassified and classified networks deployed across geographically dispersed locations.

You will lead incident response and day-to-day cybersecurity operations while ensuring all work aligns with established policies and classified access eligibility requirements, including maintaining Top Secret clearance.

Role overview

• Supervise multiple Enterprise Security Operations Center teams and direct monitoring of unclassified and classified networks across distributed locations.
• Oversee cybersecurity operations, including detection, analysis, and remediation activities for security incidents.
• Ensure operations are executed in accordance with established policies and mission objectives while maintaining eligibility for classified access.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cybersecurity engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring efficient operations.
• Oversee incident response activities, including detection, analysis, and remediation of security incidents.
• Maintain proficiency with cybersecurity technologies including Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Firewalls, SIEM, Log Analysis, and Incident Response.
• Coordinate with other IT teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure comprehensive security coverage and effective communication.
• Conduct post-incident analysis and support root-cause remediation planning to improve the security posture.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences to support transparency and understanding.
• Ensure all activities align with established policies and mission objectives and maintain eligibility for access to classified information.

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, including supervision responsibilities for multiple Enterprise Security Operations Center teams and monitoring multiple unclassified and classified networks across geographically dispersed locations.
• Experience with cybersecurity technologies, practices, and principles including Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Firewalls, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Log Analysis, and Incident Response.
• Experience leading teams, managing projects, and providing technical guidance.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
• CISM or CEH certification.

Clearance and eligibility

Selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

• Projected compensation range: $99,000 to $225,000 (annualized USD)
• Final salary at Booz Allen is determined by factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.
