Job Description

A cybersecurity analyst role based onsite in Fairbanks, Alaska, focusing on securing IT and OT environments for ongoing assessments, monitoring, and awareness initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security assessments across Information Technology and Operational Technology systems.
  • Deliver baseline and security assessment reports to IT and OT stakeholders as required.
  • Execute system audits and report findings in alignment with prescribed security standards.
  • Develop, review, and update system security procedures and related documentation.
  • Assist with designing and integrating IT and OT information security controls.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with security requirements.
  • Plan and execute both automated and manual tests to validate security postures and controls.
  • Review, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts within the environment.
  • Proactively monitor the environment to detect threats and implement mitigations before breaches occur.
  • Analyze real-time and historical reports for security and compliance violations.
  • Provide cybersecurity awareness training to staff on safeguarding information.
  • Work with team members to deliver strong customer support and a consistent stakeholder experience.
  • Learn and apply safety programs relevant to the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Required
  • At least 3 years of experience with Information Technology and/or Operational Technology systems. Required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Required
  • Capability to create and document Standard Operating Procedures detailing daily activities and best practices. Required
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters. Required
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Required
  • Effective written and oral communication across multiple channels. Required
  • Advanced proficiency with network scanning and vulnerability assessment tools. Required
  • Strong ability to propose and implement corrective measures for vulnerabilities and anomalies. Required
  • Advanced capability to analyze and respond to security events. Required
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Required
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related applications. Required
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Required
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networks. Required
  • Advanced knowledge of Department of Defense cybersecurity standards. Required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud products such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Entra. Required
  • Intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity regulations, frameworks, and standards. Required
  • Excellent time management skills. Required
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Required
  • Excellent customer service skills. Required
  • Certification within 180 days of hire: CompTIA Security+, (ISC)2 Certified in Cybersecurity, or GIAC GISF. Required within 180 days

Starting Wage Range

Starting wage range: $99,267 - $101,50/annually DOE.

Location

This is an in-person position located in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test, with random drug testing thereafter per policy.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Alaska.
  • Must be eligible to work on a military installation in Alaska, including compliance with Department of Defense background and health directives.
