Job Description

Join a remote-friendly Cybersecurity Analyst role at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, an AmLaw 100 law firm with nine offices nationwide. This position centers on safeguarding the firm’s information assets from cyber threats, with daily work spanning network monitoring, security-control audits, incident response, and security-awareness programs. The role supports flexible remote work while offering collaboration opportunities in offices located in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C. The compensation band is USD 108,000 to 144,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package and a culture that prioritizes client service, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor networks, review security audits and logs, and regularly verify controls within the firm’s Information Security Management System
  • Assess the cybersecurity posture of vendors and contractors and respond to client reviews of the firm’s cybersecurity readiness
  • Respond promptly and effectively to potential cyber incidents
  • Investigate security events, manage handling and documentation, and ensure remediation timelines are understood
  • Stay current on cybersecurity news and assess implications of newly identified vulnerabilities for the firm’s systems
  • Maintain expertise on evolving attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Support the cybersecurity awareness program by explaining policies, developing training materials, and advising users on secure solutions to business problems

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar technology-focused role
  • Hands-on experience with network and computer technologies
  • GED or High School Diploma; advanced education in cybersecurity, computer science, or engineering is a plus
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of a professional services organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments, both in teams and independently
  • High sensitivity to confidential matters and the ability to handle information discreetly
  • Must pass a background investigation
  • Familiarity with risk management principles
  • Ability to triage, investigate, respond to, and escalate security anomalies and alerts
  • Understanding of network protocols and TCP/IP basics
  • Rudimentary programming and scripting skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, assess root causes, risks, and potential responses, and present concise recommendations
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functions, departments, and leadership levels
  • Consistently meets commitments and deadlines while applying appropriate tools, methods, and professional standards
  • Ability to build trust with business partners and leadership and to identify gaps and potential issues
  • Ability to work independently while upholding the highest level of professionalism in service delivery
