Job Description

The Cybersecurity Analyst role at RBR Technologies focuses on implementing holistic enterprise defensive strategies for the DODIN across cloud, network boundaries, cross domains, and endpoints on site at Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze architecture, technologies, DoD policy information, and critical data to inform defensive decisions.
  • Develop cybersecurity and risk assessment methodologies and procedures to prevent, detect, and mitigate anomalous activity, vulnerabilities, and inefficiencies.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings for senior leadership, including general officers or flag officers.
  • Evaluate enterprise cybersecurity defensive strategies to support operational effectiveness, defense, and command and control.
  • Assess network infrastructure and propose methods and strategies to reduce or manage adverse impacts.
  • Create standards, metrics, and measures to support assessments, process improvements, and operational efficiencies across the DODIN.
  • Demonstrate expert understanding of technologies and cybersecurity domains, including but not limited to:
    • Boundary Security: identify and maintain awareness of the DODIN boundary, including IAPs, peering points, and other major ingress/egress points; document boundary architectures and understand defensive capabilities and sensor data.
    • Endpoint Security: analyze and develop enterprise strategies for compliance and integration with mid-tier and boundary capabilities.
    • Cloud Security: design strategies to monitor, detect, and prevent unauthorized manipulation and access to cloud services.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 8-12 years of experience; 4 additional years can substitute for a degree.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Security tools and services (IAM, CI/CD, WAF, CASB, cloud tools).
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust concepts and solutions (Seven Pillars, capabilities, activities, ZT strategy, etc.).
  • DoD 8750 certification at IAT Level II and Security+ CE.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity operations and security architecture concepts.
  • Experience with network and application protocols such as TCP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, SSH, among others.
  • Understanding of core security concepts including firewalls, antivirus software, and network security.
  • Experience remediating cyber vulnerabilities such as misconfigurations, unpatched software, and weak APIs.
  • Ability to identify common exploitation techniques like SQL injection, buffer overflow, phishing, and malware.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with technical and military writing and staff work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DISA and DoD Information Networks (DODIN)
  • Experience configuring networking devices such as routers, firewalls, and IDPS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cybersecurity Domains and their applications
  • Experience developing mitigations against malicious cyber activity
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automating security tasks
  • Cloud certification
