PECNA Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking an entry-level Information Security Analyst I to support the Information Security Management (ISM) function in De Soto, KS. In this onsite role, you will help carry out routine information security, governance, risk, compliance, and incident response activities, with a focus on accurate documentation and coordination.
What You Will Do
- Support cybersecurity incident management by documenting alerts, tracking actions, coordinating communications, maintaining records, and escalating issues according to approved procedures.
- Assist with security risk assessments by gathering inputs, documenting risks, updating risk registers, tracking mitigations, and maintaining supporting evidence.
- Help with compliance activities aligned to ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, including evidence collection, audit preparation, documentation updates, and corrective action tracking.
- Maintain security policies, procedures, standards, audit artifacts, and governance records to support accuracy and audit readiness.
- Monitor assigned security tasks, tickets, alerts, and service requests, follow up promptly, and escalate when needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party providers to gather information and support assigned security and compliance work.
- Support security awareness, training, reporting, and communications by tracking participation, gathering metrics, and maintaining related records.
- Follow established security processes and playbooks, identify potential issues, and escalate risks to senior analysts or the ISM Manager.
- Perform other individual contributor activities as assigned by the ISM Manager based on evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or 4 years of relevant working experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science).
- 0-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT support, compliance, risk management, audit support, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, information security controls, and risk management concepts.
- Basic knowledge of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or SOC 2.
- Ability to follow documented security procedures, standards, and operational processes with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and audit evidence.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, ticketing systems, and documentation repositories.
