Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute as a project team member to implement new cybersecurity technologies, policies, and procedures
- Apply a range of enterprise security tools to establish a layered defense posture, including Web Filtering, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanning and Patching/remediation, Anti-virus, and Log management
- Bring a strong technical background in Microsoft and/or Linux/Unix servers, virtualization, desktop operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, and network design and monitoring to support a cybersecurity incident response program
- Use project management skills and clear interpersonal communication to advise teammates on cybersecurity issues and recommend courses of action
- Provide inputs to Systems Security Plans as required for network certification and accreditation under the Department of Navy Risk Management Framework
Requirements

- This position is a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce role; you must obtain and maintain credentials per SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 46 within 6 months of appointment
- Participate in continuous learning per SECNAVINST 1543.2; minimum 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related learning annually with an updated development plan signed by you and your supervisor
