Job Description
Technology cybersecurity managing consultant leading teams on cybersecurity program support, cloud security, Zero Trust Architecture, and modernization initiatives for clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise to optimize clients' current security tooling and platforms, including SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management.
- Evaluate tools, configurations, and processes to identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization, delivering actionable recommendations.
- Lead and mentor cybersecurity teams, offering technical direction, quality oversight, and coaching to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Oversee daily cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Assist in designing and implementing Zero Trust Architecture aligned with federal guidance (NIST SP 800-207, CISA ZT maturity model).
- Contribute to modernization of enterprise cybersecurity architecture, including roadmaps, maturity assessments, and implementation planning.
- Advise on cloud security architecture, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies during secure cloud migrations across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Incorporate security controls and DevSecOps into cloud and application modernization to enable secure-by-design deployments.
- Work with client stakeholders to align cybersecurity strategy with mission objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across engagements, develop deliverables, communicate findings, and drive implementation of recommended solutions.
- Keep current on threats, tools, and best practices and apply insights to strengthen client posture and program maturity.
- Engage actively in cybersecurity engagements, collaborating with teams and clients to deliver high-quality results.
- Monitor industry best practices and emerging trends in IT general controls and cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand business needs, concerns, and risk factors.
- Analyze problems using quantitative methods, communicate clearly, and perform effectively in a team setting.
- Prepare and present high-quality presentations and reports to convey project findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- US Citizenship is contractually required
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher clearance, as required
- At least 5 years of experience, preferably in cybersecurity consulting, cyber operations, or enterprise security architecture
- Demonstrated experience optimizing and operationalizing enterprise security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, endpoint protection)
- Proven ability to lead and mentor cybersecurity teams, including directing day-to-day operations and providing technical oversight
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles and experience supporting ZTA strategy, design, or implementation
- Experience supporting secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), including cloud security architecture and compliance
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and integrating security into modern application and cloud pipelines
- Working knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53/207, FISMA, CISA guidance)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable client recommendations
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and senior client leadership
