Staff Software Engineer, Cybersecurity

Staff Software Engineer, Cybersecurity role at Bloom Energy in San Jose, CA with fully onsite expectations (in office 5 days a week), reporting to the Sr. Director of Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve cloud security controls across IAM, network, secrets, and runtime protection
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines including SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning
• Secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Pulumi, including automation of compliance checks
• Enforce encryption requirements for data in transit and data at rest
• Support vulnerability management and incident response

Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of experience in cloud security and/or DevSecOps
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, plus experience with CI/CD, containers, and IaC
• Strong Python skills and shell scripting (bash); Golang is a plus
• Familiarity with software supply chain security
• Understanding of standard SDLC practices
• Proficiency with Git and familiarity with Jira and Confluence

Compensation

• Salary range: USD 114,800 to 165,200 per year
