Job Description

This role provides senior administrative support to multiple leaders within Target’s fast-paced setting, prioritizing confidential handling of information, proactive problem solving, and effective prioritization of competing demands.

Summary

Senior Administrative Assistant dedicated to supporting several leaders in a dynamic retail environment. The position emphasizes maintaining discretion, aligning with leaders' working styles, and delivering professional, poised, and proactive assistance to help drive business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to multiple leaders, applying thoughtful, critical thinking in a fast-moving context.
  • Act as an extension of leaders, harmonizing with their work style while upholding Target’s values and maintaining professionalism and leadership presence.
  • Deliver a level of service that exceeds standard expectations.
  • Manage several priorities and processes concurrently while staying informed about the evolving retail landscape.
  • Anticipate leaders’ needs and resolve potential issues before they arise.
  • Maintain confidentiality, remain flexible, and exercise strong time management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Field Senior Admins Only: Focus on task-driven duties, including cross-functional pyramid support and key store-facing priorities in the field.
  • Demonstrate initiative as a proactive self-starter capable of working independently without daily guidance from a leader.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of administrative experience or similar background
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to reach diverse internal and external audiences
  • Flexible, resilient, and adaptable; comfortable operating in changing and ambiguous scenarios
  • Accountable with initiative; capable of balancing fluctuating workloads
  • Exceptional prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • High attention to detail

About You

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of administrative experience or similar background
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at multiple levels internally and externally
  • Flexible, resilient and nimble; comfortable working in evolving, ambiguous environments
  • Accountable with a high degree of initiative; able to balance fluctuating workload
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize, problem-solve and make decisions
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft Office preferred
  • Four-year degree preferred
