Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise
Job Description
With a cybersecurity and technology background, you can help the FBI investigate potential violations of federal laws tied to cybersecurity and public safety. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this full-time role combines investigative work with collaboration across agencies to address evolving threats to national security.
You will apply your technical understanding to planning and conducting investigations, maintaining effective liaison relationships, and meeting the readiness standards required for law enforcement duties, including physical fitness.
Location, Pay, and Work Setup
- Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite)

- Salary: USD 103,326 - 133,200 per year
- Pay basis: Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay
Education
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Preferred fields include: computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or a related field
- Degree must be from a U.S. accredited college or university
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety
- Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands
- Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies
- Maintain a level of physical fitness to ensure readiness to perform law enforcement duties
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance
- Must be willing to travel as required
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements
