Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise
Job Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation seeks a Special Agent with strong cybersecurity and technology expertise to investigate cyber threats and support national security objectives. This role offers rigorous specialized training, real-world investigative experience, and pathways to leadership within a dynamic, mission-driven environment, all on-site in Albany, New York.

Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct investigations into potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety matters.
- Apply sound judgment, resourcefulness, and adaptability to meet investigative demands.
- Develop and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
- Maintain the physical fitness standard required to perform law enforcement duties.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
Education
Educational requirement is a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Salary
Pay range: $103,326.00–$133,200.00 per year. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay.
