Special Agent: Cybersecurity/Technology Expertise
Job Description
The FBI seeks a Special Agent who blends cybersecurity and technology expertise with investigative capability. This onsite position in Portland, Oregon requires U.S. citizenship, a willingness to travel, and eligibility for a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead investigations into potential federal violations, cybersecurity incidents, and public safety concerns.
- Apply judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness to meet investigative demands.
- Establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
- Maintain the physical fitness required to perform law enforcement duties as needed.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Compliance with FBI employment eligibility requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Compensation
Annual salary range: $103,326.00 – $133,200.00. Salary is commensurate with base, locality, and available pay.
