Job Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation seeks a Special Agent with cybersecurity and information technology expertise to lead investigations, strengthen information security, detect threats, and safeguard critical systems essential to national security. This onsite role is based in Anchorage, Alaska. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance, and hold a master’s degree or higher. The annual salary ranges from $103,236 to $133,200.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute investigations of potential violations of federal law, cybersecurity incidents, and threats to public safety.
- Exercise sound judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
- Establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement partners.
- Maintain physical fitness to ensure readiness to perform law enforcement duties.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
- Must have a master’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.
