Job Description

Be part of the FBI’s mission to protect national security through cyber expertise. This onsite Special Agent role in Chicago emphasizes information security and SIEM tooling to safeguard critical systems. The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 103,236 to 133,200 per year and requires a master’s degree or higher. Citizenship, eligibility for Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance, and willingness to travel are essential prerequisites.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
  • Apply judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
  • Establish and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain physical fitness to ensure readiness for law enforcement duties.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel as required.
  • Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
  • Must have a master’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.
