Senior Manager - Cybersecurity Operations

This role, based onsite in Boston, MA, supports US LBM Corporate as a Senior Manager of Cybersecurity Operations. You will direct daily cybersecurity defense, detection engineering, and incident response while leading the security operations team across IT and OT, guided by a Microsoft centered security stack.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Cybersecurity Operations team, spanning the SOC, Detection Engineering, and Incident Response functions.
• Oversee security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and cyber defense operations across the enterprise.
• Manage and optimize Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR to enhance visibility, detection, automation, and response capabilities.
• Advance detection engineering, threat hunting, and SOAR automation initiatives to strengthen security operations and reduce response times.
• Direct cybersecurity incident management, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post incident improvement activities.
• Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, and risk remediation efforts.
• Establish operational processes, policies, and standards aligned with security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business units, technology teams, and third party stakeholders to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities and resilience.
• Prepare and present cybersecurity metrics, risk insights, and operational updates to executive leadership and governance committees.
• Lead strategic initiatives to mature security operations, automation, threat intelligence, and cyber defense capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within Security Operations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR.
• Strong understanding of security operations, threat intelligence, detection engineering, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Experience leading SOC operations and security event monitoring programs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Azure security architecture.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, SC-200, SC-100, or AZ-500 preferred.
