Job Description

The Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer will mature and maintain GNS North America's global technology infrastructure with a focus on security, providing escalation support for production facilities and on-site assistance as required.

Responsibilities

  • Support leadership planning, budgeting, and strategy through activities such as network architecture design, feasibility analysis, and cost studies.
  • Develop and deploy network infrastructure plans that meet performance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans to adapt to changing demand.
  • Identify and enhance infrastructure security and capabilities, supporting ongoing operations and future planning.
  • Execute enhancements to provide seamless connectivity across the global organization.
  • Upgrade existing systems to satisfy global execution and data storage needs.
  • Implement security and business continuity initiatives to protect critical assets.
  • Provide information technology support to team members to enable required functions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting network and infrastructure issues and develop appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in computer and telecommunications networking.
  • Demonstrated training and experience implementing IT infrastructure solutions, such as certifications or coursework aligned with IT certification processes (for example, CCNA, CCNP).
  • Familiarity with implementing infrastructure security enhancements, including Defense in Depth (NIST), VLANs, and handling untrusted equipment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field (Required).

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a hybrid setting consisting of office and production environments. On-site work at manufacturing facilities may involve exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise, with possible use of personal protective equipment. Noise levels in manufacturing areas can be loud (approximately 90 dBA). The role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles and could occur in non-air-conditioned factory settings with variable temperatures.

Education

Bachelor's degree required.

  • Computer and telecommunications networking: 10 years (Required)
