Senior Information Security Analyst

Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to provide technical leadership in protecting information resources across multiple platforms. This onsite role in West Des Moines, IA includes driving security architecture and enterprise security solutions, partnering with stakeholders and vendors to reduce risk, and supporting governance and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and automation opportunities, then communicate security recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Implement, maintain, and support enterprise security solutions aligned to information security standards, architectural principles, and business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and security expertise for complex projects and strategic initiatives to design secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to identify and mitigate security risks, resolve challenges, and improve overall security architecture.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance security documentation, standards, policies, and compliance requirements while supporting governance and audit activities.

Required qualifications

• Four-year degree or five years of equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate security and technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Demonstrated expertise in security architecture, risk management, regulatory compliance, and cloud security.
• Experience implementing and supporting enterprise security platforms and controls.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Security, Zero Trust principles, and modern identity-driven security architectures (preferred).
