Senior CyberSecurity Technologist

Entegee invites applications for a Senior CyberSecurity Technologist based in Houston, TX (hybrid). This role centers on Palo Alto security technologies, encompassing the design, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, GlobalProtect, and Panorama in a 24/7 high-availability environment. The position offers an hourly rate of USD 125 - 135 and requires at least seven years of hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and sustain essential network operations within a high-availability setup.
• Architect, deploy, and manage Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), GlobalProtect, and Panorama.
• Create and enforce security policies, covering NAT, Security Profiles, URL Filtering, Threat Prevention, and SSL Decryption.
• Conduct deep packet inspection and log analysis with Wireshark and PAN-OS utilities.
• Perform root-cause analysis to resolve intricate network and security challenges.
• Support centralized security governance and uphold industry best practices for network protection.

Requirements

• More than seven years of practical experience with Palo Alto technologies and firewall configuration.
• Demonstrated track record supporting enterprise networks with stringent uptime requirements.
• In-depth expertise in Palo Alto NGFW, GlobalProtect, and Panorama.
• Background in designing and implementing sophisticated security policies and controls.
• Proficient in packet capture analysis, troubleshooting, and log review with Wireshark and PAN-OS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
