Responsibilities
- Take ownership of daily security operations across cybersecurity tasks, ensuring accountability and steady performance
- Demonstrate adept use of standard security tools and technologies, including DLP, EDR, XDR, SOAR, and SIEM platforms
- Coordinate timely, precise remediation and countermeasures for intrusions affecting hosts, network infrastructure, applications, and operational systems
- Stay abreast of current security threats, vulnerabilities, and technology advancements
- Lead security policy development and documentation aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and compliance efforts
- Apply knowledge of malware analysis and email security incidents
- Manage incident response processes and reporting
- Monitor security reports and dashboards to detect trends and anomalies
- Contribute to regular audits and gather artifacts as needed
- Support evaluation of new products and services as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience, required
- 5 to 10 years of relevant cybersecurity experience
- Experience working with managed service providers (MSPs)
- Familiarity with NIST, CIS Controls, and SOC 2
- Current information security certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CCFP, or CISM
- Knowledge of operating systems, 0365, and network protocols
- Familiarity with cloud security (Azure), artificial intelligence, and DevSecOps practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to translate technical concepts for customers
