Security Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation offers a remote, contract role for a Security Engineer - AI Trainer designed to advance cybersecurity AI. Based in Westlake, TX with flexible scheduling, this opportunity pays hourly between $50 and $100. You will help train AI models by evaluating cybersecurity content generated by AI, designing security-focused challenges, and producing technical explanations and code to guide the evolution of AI security systems.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated cybersecurity outputs, including threat analyses, vulnerability assessments, and offensive techniques, for real-world accuracy and relevance.
• Design and solve security-driven technical problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear technical explanations and security-oriented code.
• Provide feedback that influences the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related fields, including government or military cyber operations.
• Some coding experience and comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
• Fluency in English with strong writing skills.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Cybersecurity certifications are a plus (for example OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar).
