Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform security analysis activities focused on incident response procedures and practices.
• Support and contribute to IT system security and/or system administration efforts based on experience in system protection.
• Use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) to produce and maintain materials using templates and style guidelines for branding consistency.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 6+ years of relevant work experience in security analysis.
• 6+ years of experience in IT System Security or System Administration.
• Experience with incident response procedures and practices.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), including working with templates and style guidelines for branding consistency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related technical field, with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
• Information Security certifications such as CompTIA, ISC(2), SANS GIAC, CCNA Security, or similar.
• Prior Health Information Technology experience.
• Centralized Log Management experience.
• Familiarity with security regulatory requirements and standards, such as NIST 800 series and ARC-AMPE.
• Experience performing or supporting information security compliance assessments and audits.
• Work and/or consulting experience in federal, state, city, or local government.
