Red Team Security Engineer
Job Description
Millennium Corporation is hiring a Red Team Security Engineer for a hybrid role in Washington, DC. This position supports in-depth Red Team operations alongside security engineering and monitoring work for organizations that rely on continuous visibility and authorization readiness.
The role is built for candidates who want to combine hands-on testing with security tool integration, detection and incident support, and security architecture work in computing, network, and enclave environments. You will operate under general supervision while contributing to systems that are functional, secure, and aligned to established security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and detect cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
- Assist with integrated, dynamic cyber defense by coordinating and maintaining security toolsets that support continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs, including establishing a framework to measure and quantify cyber risk in the marketplace.
- Determine security requirements through research of information security standards, system security and vulnerability analyses, and risk assessments; study architecture and platforms; identify integration issues.
- Implement security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment, preparing preventive and reactive measures, and providing technical support to SOC, Blue Team, and other defenders; complete documentation.
- Verify security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
- Maintain security by monitoring compliance with standards, policies, and procedures; performing incident response analyses; developing and conducting training programs.
- Own the design, development, implementation, and integration of DoD-like IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
- Ensure development and operational system designs are functional and secure, including designs for program-of-record systems and special-purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligibility.
- BS plus 5+ years of experience, or additional 5 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Required: Sec+.
- Desired: OSCP/E, GPEN, CEH, CCNA, CISSP.
Business Development Support
- Assist with business development activities as required to support Millennium’s strategic objectives, including participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support, and proposal color reviews.
Compensation
$135,000 to $145,000 per year. This salary range is a general guideline and does not guarantee a specific amount. Final compensation is determined based on relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds at a time.
