Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer

DataAnnotation is building and evaluating AI technologies for cybersecurity, and this contract role supports the work by training models through real-world security judgment. You can operate fully remotely with a flexible schedule, use your own computer, and take on projects that match your interests. Projects are compensated hourly, with the potential for higher bonus rates on select assignments, and payments are made via PayPal.

What you’ll do

• Assess AI-generated cybersecurity content for accuracy and validity, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques.
• Design and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
• Produce clear technical explanations and write security-relevant code.
• Provide feedback that directly informs the next generation of AI security models.

What you bring

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
• Coding experience is required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
• English fluency (native or bilingual) with strong writing skills.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, including examples such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar.
