Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer
Job Description
DataAnnotation is building AI training data and evaluations that support cybersecurity use cases, and the team needs a security-minded engineer to help validate and improve AI-generated security content. This contract role is fully remote, with hourly paid project work and scheduling flexibility.
What you will do
- Assess AI-generated cybersecurity material for real-world accuracy, focusing on threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques.
- Create and work through security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
- Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
- Deliver feedback that directly influences how the next generation of AI security models are developed.
What you bring
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
- Coding experience is required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
- English fluency (native or bilingual) with strong writing skills.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, including OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar.
