DataAnnotation is seeking a Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer (contract) to support the training of AI models for cybersecurity use cases. In this role, you will review AI-generated security content, build security-oriented training problems, and provide feedback that helps shape next-generation AI security models.

This is a remote opportunity based in Rego Park, NY (remote), with hourly project pay and a flexible approach to scheduling, depending on the assignments you choose.

What you’ll do

Evaluate AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, with an emphasis on real-world accuracy and validity.
Design and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
Write clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
Provide feedback that directly influences the development of future AI security models.

What you bring

2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in areas such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent work, including government or military cyber operations.
Some coding experience, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
English fluency (native or bilingual) and strong writing skills.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, for example OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, or similar.

Contract details & pay

Compensation: USD 50 to 100 per hour
Bonuses: higher bonus rates may be available for certain projects
