Job Description

Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal Classified Cybersecurity Analyst on site in Linthicum Heights, MD. The role centers on information systems lifecycle security and government accreditation activities, with a requirement for a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system audits and continuous monitoring across all security controls, configurations, and operational processes to evaluate the security posture of information systems.
  • Assess systems and networks within the enclave to identify deviations from approved configurations and applicable policies.
  • Analyze to validate security requirements and propose additional safeguards and requirements.
  • Support the implementation of government policy, advise on process tailoring, and document process activities.
  • Establish rigorous program control processes to mitigate risks and support the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of systems, including analysis, coordination, testing, documentation, investigations, and inspections.
  • Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) activities required by accrediting authorities, from pre-test preparations through test participation, results analysis, and reporting.
  • Document A&A results and related technical or coordination activities, and prepare Risk Management Framework artifacts.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years; or Associate’s degree with 7 years; or high school diploma/equivalent with 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Clearance: Current U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (minimum), including a closed investigation within the last 6 years, or enrollment in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program; clearance must be maintained.
  • Certification: Meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements (8750 equivalent) for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), i.e., COMPTIA Security+, with the certification maintained as a condition of employment.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • ISACA CISM certification.
  • Experience in cybersecurity compliance, such as Assessment & Authorization under RMF.
  • Knowledge of security tools including ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, Trellix, and SCAP.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and documentation such as NIST, JSIG, DAAG, SSPs, POA&Ms, and SCTMs.
