What you’ll do

The Nuclear Security Analyst II position supports the planning, development, and implementation of security projects for the Duane Arnold Energy Center in Palo, IA (onsite). The role focuses on tactical training, drill development and oversight, training material updates, coaching, and keeping required training documentation current. You will also support corrective actions and program enhancements tied to security training and regulatory requirements.

• Perform complex security work using advanced knowledge, techniques, procedures, and criteria across a range of security tasks
• Maintain familiarity with regulatory requirements and business unit procedures to support compliance of security programs, processes, and procedures
• Ensure security equipment maintenance records are retained in accordance with security plan commitments
• Implement and monitor a security system maintenance program, including corrective and preventive maintenance for all security equipment
• Track and trend security system performance to ensure results remain within program commitments
• Review, recommend, and implement contractor and employee access authorization and/or fitness for duty programs
• Provide technical direction to less experienced security analysts
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

• Associate’s or Equivalent Experience
• 4+ years of experience
• Nuclear Experience: 2+ years
• Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
• Nuclear specific requirements based on education and experience:
  • With Associate’s, security or law enforcement experience: 5+ years
  • With High School Diploma/GED, security or law enforcement experience: 8+ years

Additional nuclear-specific expectations

• Military training may be considered equivalent to degree
• Experience with Code of Federal Regulations as it applies to nuclear plant access/fitness for duty, dosimetry, and training requirements
• Nuclear specific preference: Security supervisory experience (2+ years)
• Relevant experience supporting security training programs, performance-based drills, curriculum or lesson-plan development, or instructional activities is preferred
