Network & Systems Security Analyst Sr

This onsite contract opportunity through Qode places you with a Tampa, Florida based utilities company. The role centers on planning, designing, and implementing secure network, server, and storage infrastructure while ensuring compliance with security standards. It is well suited for professionals with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience and professional certifications. The engagement offers a $60 per hour rate, a six-month term with renewal potential, and opportunities to lead small projects and mentor a Level 1 Network & Systems Security Analyst. This position supports critical infrastructure and provides steady, hands-on work within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement network, server, and storage infrastructure based on project requirements, capacity plans, and system support.
• Perform basic troubleshooting aligned to the OSI model, coordinate equipment repairs, and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide input on small project design and plans.
• May serve as a project lead and mentor Level 1 Network & Systems Security Analyst.
• Operate under general supervision.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose, and remediate server and network related problems and failures.
• Install and configure server and network related hardware/software that meet the company security standards.

Requirements

• At least one associate and one senior level certification, such as MCSA, MCSE, VCP, CCNA, CCNP, CEH, GIAC, or CISSP.
• Work Authorization: USC and GC ONLY.
• Education preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent IT discipline (MIS).
• Certifications preferred: CCNA, VCP, CISSP, or MCSA.
• Experience: 3–6 years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Windows servers, VMware, firewall support, Storage Area Networks, and Cisco Networking; SolarWinds ITSM administration including configuration and support.
