Job Description

Deloitte seeks a Lead Security Engineer II, a Cybersecurity Engineer/Architect focused on security architecture for cloud and hybrid environments within government and public sector engagements. The role is client-facing, serving as the primary subject-matter expert, and leads security-focused projects and initiatives.

Compensation

USD 119,025 - 198,375 per year

Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree required

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Act as the principal client-facing subject matter expert to align security objectives with the client’s technical requirements and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Current Top Secret security clearance.
  • Onsite work five days per week is required.
  • Advanced expertise in cloud security architecture and in securing cloud deployments.
  • Strong experience with hybrid data architectures, securing data across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security architecture, and risk management practices.
  • Experience defining and implementing secure architecture patterns for cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, projects, or workstreams within cybersecurity or architecture-focused initiatives.

Our Cyber Defense & Resilience offering assists clients in defending against advanced threats by transforming security operations, monitoring technology, data analytics, and threat intelligence. It supports the management and protection of dynamic attack surfaces and provides rapid crisis and cyber incident response to ensure readiness, response, and recovery from disruptions.

The Project Delivery Talent Model aligns professionals with specialized skills to meet current client needs. Team members focus on delivering services on client projects, without additional expectations related to business development or promotion.
