Job Description
Lead IT Specialist (INFOSEC/CUSTSPT) within US Military Treatment Facilities under DHA, providing Information Assurance leadership at Naval Health Clinic Lemoore in Lemoore, CA.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Information Assurance Manager and the primary technical authority for information system security across the Military Treatment Facility.
- Perform risk assessments, review system vulnerabilities, and implement countermeasures to shield systems from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction.
- Oversee the full system security authorization lifecycle for all information systems and networks in compliance with the DoD/DHA RMF.
- Prepare and maintain system security plans, risk assessments, contingency plans, and security test and evaluation documentation.
- Develop security specifications and offer expert guidance for acquiring hardware, software, and services, ensuring cybersecurity requirements are embedded in the system development lifecycle.
- Administer and maintain cybersecurity tools and servers including HBSS, ACAS, Retina, WSUS, and other mandated platforms.

Requirements
- Minimum of one year in a role that ensures IT systems comply with security policies and regulations, uses automated scanning tools to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, prepares or reviews security documentation for authorization to operate, and provides technical guidance, training, or project leadership to teammates.
- Attention to detail in completing tasks and maintaining thorough records.
- Strong customer service orientation, with ability to engage clients to assess needs and deliver quality information and assistance.
- Effective oral communication skills, including clear presentations to diverse audiences and active listening.
- Solid problem solving, with ability to identify issues, evaluate information, and propose practical solutions.
- Education cannot substitute for the required experience; substitution is not permitted for this position.
- Position is at the IAT-II level; must obtain the appropriate certification within six months of assignment.
