IT Security Analyst I

Emerson Hospital is seeking a part-time IT Security Analyst I to support day-to-day protection efforts within the Information Security team. This onsite role in Concord, MA helps keep security operations moving through consistent monitoring, security application administration, and dependable rotating on-call coverage. Responsibilities

• Provide security operations coverage and security application platform administration for Emerson Hospital.
• Perform daily monitoring for tickets, alerts, and incidents.
• Maintain, support, and help optimize security applications used within the environment.
• Report to the Information Security Officer.
• Collaborate with the IT Server, Network, Desktop, and Application teams, along with vendors, to implement security controls.
• Coordinate rollout of changes to address complex issues affecting the environment.
• Support rotating on-call coverage, working one-week blocks at a time.

Requirements

• Awareness of cybersecurity and privacy principles, including cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and remediation.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Computer skills required.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve or escalate computer problems.
• Ability to interact positively with medical staff under difficult conditions.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and PC hardware.
• Self-motivated approach with eagerness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interact favorably and work effectively as a team member.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related specialty strongly preferred, and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in IT, preferably in desktop support or a similar role, or comparable experience.
• Licensure: A valid Massachusetts Driver’s License may be required.
• Certifications: Relevant security certifications are preferred.

Pay: USD 30 to 35 per hour.

Location: Concord, MA (onsite).
