GCP Security Engineer

IDR, Inc. is hiring a GCP Security Engineer for a remote role based in Reston, VA to enhance security posture across large-scale environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate threat modeling to identify risks and reduce exposure in cloud-based systems
• Influence secure cloud architecture patterns and help establish reference implementations in GCP
• Develop and improve security frameworks, policies, and standards, including infrastructure and network baselines
• Build and enhance security automation and tooling such as scripting, integrations, and repeatable controls to improve efficiency

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Security Engineer supporting enterprise environments
• Strong background in threat modeling, network security, and cloud security architecture
• Hands-on experience securing workloads and services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proficiency with automation using Python or Go
• Experience creating and driving adoption of security frameworks, policies/standards, and secure design baselines
