Cloud Security Engineer

Robotics Technologies is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to support hands-on cloud security work across security controls, guardrails, and cloud migration efforts. The role emphasizes strengthening cloud security posture while helping teams move securely across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

This position is based onsite in Omaha, NE, with additional location listed as Jersey City, NJ. The engagement is set for 12 Months + Extension under W-2, 1099, or C2C, with an hourly rate of $65/Hour for C2C.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls and guardrails.
• Monitor and continually improve the organization’s cloud security posture.
• Identify and remediate cloud misconfigurations and vulnerabilities.
• Secure cloud workloads, applications, identities, and infrastructure.
• Support secure application and SaaS migrations.
• Implement cloud security policies and standards.
• Evaluate cloud environments for security risks.
• Collaborate with cloud platform, infrastructure, and development teams to align security with delivery.
• Manage excessive permissions and exposed services.
• Validate security controls and configurations in cloud environments.
• Partner with architecture and vulnerability management teams.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud security best practices.
• Participate in a low-volume on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Cloud Engineering or Cloud Security experience.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience implementing Cloud Security Controls and Guardrails.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
• Familiarity with Cloud-Native Application Protection (CNAPP).
• Practical experience with Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Competence in Network and Infrastructure Security, along with Workload and Application Security.
• Experience in Vulnerability Management and Remediation.
• Ability to perform Cloud Configuration and Risk Assessment.
• Security knowledge for SaaS and Application Migration Security.
• Cloud Security Architecture experience.
• Experience with Security Monitoring and Compliance.
• Troubleshooting and risk mitigation skills.
