Epic Security Analyst
Job Description
Robert Half is seeking an Epic Security Analyst for an on-site role in Oklahoma City, OK. The position offers a salary range of USD 97,000–107,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree, have at least five years of experience in healthcare technology or information technology, and possess Epic certifications. This role centers on leading the development, support, and rollout of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, coordinating IT governance, and aligning technology investments with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead resolution of complex technical issues and system errors, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver timely solutions.
- Partner with operations to plan and coordinate teams to execute issue resolution plans.
- Oversee routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and upgrades, to maintain the stability and security of the EHR system.
- Direct testing and validation for changes, enhancements, and upgrades, following defined change management processes to ensure new features meet requirements and avoid disruptions.
- Contribute to strategic planning for EHR systems, collaborating with senior leadership to align technology investments with organizational goals and drive improvements in patient care delivery and efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHR functionality, usability, and interoperability, prioritizing enhancements with stakeholders.
- Manage projects related to EHR implementation, system upgrades, and other initiatives, overseeing planning, execution, and post-implementation support to deliver successful outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Establish and enforce governance for EHR management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies on data security, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth through coaching and feedback.
- Assist the team supervisor in shaping day-to-day work and coordinating project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare technology, information technology, or a related field.
- Epic applications certification required.
- Demonstrated experience with Epic software and electronic health record environments.
- Ability to support implementation efforts, upgrades, and system optimization initiatives in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Previous involvement in multiple Epic implementation projects is preferred.
