EHR Security Analyst / Technical Support Analyst 3

INFO ORIGIN INC is seeking an EHR Security Analyst / Technical Support Analyst 3 for a hybrid contract role in Richmond, VA. This position supports security and day-to-day access needs within a Cerner EHR environment, covering user provisioning, identity services, audit monitoring, and technical support tied to HIPAA/HITECH expectations.

You will help maintain controlled access to clinical systems by administering Cerner security roles, managing user access workflows, and responding to incidents and audit needs. The work also includes partnering across EHR, IT, security, compliance, and clinical teams to support ongoing system maintenance, upgrades, and patches.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Cerner EHR user access and security roles.
• Coordinate work within Cerner Millennium using areas including OHPAC, Positions, Preferences, and Security Groups.
• Process requests for user provisioning, modification, and termination.
• Support identity and authentication tooling, including AD, SSO, MFA, and other identity management activities.
• Monitor access activity and support security audits as well as incident response needs.
• Support HIPAA/HITECH compliance and align work to EHR security policies.
• Assist with Cerner upgrades, patches, and related system maintenance.
• Collaborate with EHR, IT, security, compliance, and clinical teams to support operational requirements.

Requirements

• Healthcare IT experience.
• Cerner Millennium / OHPAC security experience.
• Strong experience with EHR security and access troubleshooting.
• Experience with Discern and CCL.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH and healthcare security concepts.
• Experience with AD, SSO, MFA, or Identity Management is highly desired.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
