Cybersecurity Technologist - Associate - Cyber Security Operator

Onsite in Spring, TX, this Associate Cybersecurity Technologist role supports ExxonMobil’s efforts to identify, detect, protect, and respond to cyber threats targeting on-premises and cloud digital assets. You will help strengthen the security posture across parts of the organization, focusing on Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of data.

What you’ll do

You will contribute to practical security protections and day-to-day operations across IT and network environments.

• Influence, implement, and maintain security guidance, best practices, and controls to protect IT systems
• Monitor, support, and investigate cybersecurity events and incidents
• Support cybersecurity and network security tools used to protect organizational systems
• Enforce security best practices across relevant environments
• Advocate for cybersecurity and raise awareness to help improve organizational readiness
• Manage external network connections and implement firewall policies
• Assist in instrumenting or deploying monitoring for applications and systems, and develop visualizations to support data interpretation

What you bring

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Engineering, or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with industrial cyber control systems, including experience with multiple external network connections
