Cybersecurity Technician

ONUVO is seeking a Cybersecurity Technician to support and secure our customer’s cybersecurity infrastructure in an onsite role based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The position offers a salary range of USD 36,000 to 54,000 per year and a benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, parental leave, professional development assistance, and a referral program. The technician will help monitor security alerts, enforce policies, and support security operations across product areas such as antivirus, EDR/XDR, DNS filters, spam filters, anti-phishing controls, and dark web monitors.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation of security consoles for a range of cybersecurity products.
• Monitor security alerts and respond to events as they arise.
• Conduct security investigations and assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in managing the organization’s security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security integrations and compatibility with other systems.
• Maintain security documentation, including diagrams, policies, procedures, and asset management records.
• Provide end-user support as needed.
• Assist in developing and implementing cybersecurity awareness programs.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity activities.
• Awareness of cybersecurity risks.
• Ability to apply security policies to production environments.
• Solid threat hunting techniques.
• Ability to assist in managing security consoles for products including antivirus, EDR/XDR, DNS filters, spam filters, anti-phishing filters, dark web monitors, SAT, and other tools as needed.
