Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, alerts, and threats.
  • Administer and maintain security tooling including firewalls, EDR, SIEM, email security, MFA, and identity management systems.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Investigate suspicious activity and assist with incident response and forensic analysis.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure security configurations, including Defender and Conditional Access policies.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in cybersecurity.
  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud networks.
  • Troubleshoot network performance, outages, and connectivity problems.
  • Configure and support switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and SD-WAN.
  • Monitor network health, bandwidth usage, and system availability.
  • Implement secure network segmentation and access controls.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure upgrades and implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years in cybersecurity and/or network engineering roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, and general network protocols/architecture.
  • Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or SonicWall.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and cloud security practices.
  • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
