Job Description
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, alerts, and threats.
- Administer and maintain security tooling including firewalls, EDR, SIEM, email security, MFA, and identity management systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Investigate suspicious activity and assist with incident response and forensic analysis.
- Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure security configurations, including Defender and Conditional Access policies.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in cybersecurity.
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud networks.
- Troubleshoot network performance, outages, and connectivity problems.
- Configure and support switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and SD-WAN.
- Monitor network health, bandwidth usage, and system availability.
- Implement secure network segmentation and access controls.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure upgrades and implementations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years in cybersecurity and/or network engineering roles.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, and general network protocols/architecture.
- Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or SonicWall.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and cloud security practices.
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
