Cybersecurity Specialist CMMC
Job Description
ACG USA is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to lead the implementation and ongoing management of CMMC Level 2 compliance, safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information and ensuring audit readiness for federal contracts. This onsite role in El Paso, TX focuses on aligning security operations, documentation, and training with federal standards to support our growing defense-focused team. You will collaborate across departments to translate complex requirements into practical security practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day sustainment of CMMC Level 2 controls and keep them aligned with NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
- Prepare and organize robust compliance evidence and serve as the primary technical contact during assessments.
- Manage security operations including vulnerability management, patch tracking, incident response, and secure handling of CUI.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, SOPs, and system security plans with proper version control and traceability.
- Support company-wide cybersecurity awareness training and collaborate with HR on personnel security requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or compliance roles.
- Hands-on experience with NIST SP 800-171 and implementing CMMC Level 2 (highly preferred).
- Experience in federal contracting, defense industrial base, or other highly regulated environments.

Your primary mission is ensuring CMMC Level 2 compliance, protecting CUI, and keeping the organization audit-ready for federal contracts. This role combines documentation, accountability, and technical execution to produce measurable impact.
Tech Skills & Attributes
Strong knowledge of secure network design, access control, and cloud security best practices across AWS or Azure. Familiarity with security tools such as SIEMs (Splunk, SolarWinds), firewalls, and vulnerability scanners is a plus. Excellent technical writing skills enable clear translation of complex controls into compliant documentation. An organized, proactive mindset with the ability to incorporate feedback and drive results.
