Cybersecurity SOC Analyst Tier I

Work on a 24x7x365 TSS SOC performing tier I alert triage, analysis, and escalation to protect customer networks and devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for event network security logs, including trend analysis
• Detect the full spectrum of known cyberattacks (for example: DDoS, malware, phishing, and others)
• Uncover and pinpoint security violations tied to compromised systems and devices
• Correlate security events across capabilities to identify attacks and breaches
• Analyze and act on intelligence information to secure customer networks and devices
• Observe, document, and report actions taken by malicious actors in customer networks
• Maintain current knowledge of best practices and cybersecurity strategies
• Support team knowledge growth by motivating self and coworkers to expand the knowledgebase and capabilities

Requirements

• 0+ years experience (or equivalent) required; 1+ years experience preferred
• Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree: meets DoD CSSP Analyst requirements via one of the following qualifying certifications:
  • CEH
  • CFR
  • CCNA Cyber Ops
  • CCNA-Security
  • CySA+
  • GCIA
  • GCIH
  • GICSP
  • Cloud+
  • SCYBER
  • PenTest+
• Ability to obtain CompTIA CySA+, Splunk Core Certified User, and Splunk Core Certified Power User certifications within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of attack methods and techniques (for example: DDoS, brute force, spoofing, etc.)
• Experience reviewing network, host, and application audit logs
• Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a position of Public Trust
