Job Description

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an information security risk specialist to partner with military clients in identifying cyber risks and developing practical mitigations. This onsite role in Alexandria, VA focuses on translating complex security concepts for decision makers and guiding action plans to safeguard mission critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with military leaders to uncover cyber risks, interpret applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan.
  • Gather technical and personnel details from subject matter experts to assess the full threat landscape.
  • Assist the team in guiding the client through a plan of action using presentations, white papers, and milestones.
  • Translate security concepts into clear guidance to support decision making for securing mission critical systems.
  • Take an active role in information security while expanding your cybersecurity skills.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in professional services, the Federal government, or Federal advising
  • Experience in cybersecurity, including evaluating cybersecurity risk assessments or performing supply chain risk management analysis
  • Experience writing or drafting executive or formal senior-level correspondence or material such as organization level policies, strategies, and guidance to support decision-making
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have

  • Experience supporting DoD level organizations, including Action Officer duties and staffing processes or tools
  • Experience facilitating meetings, including working groups and conferences, and related pre and post meeting activities
  • Knowledge of NIST 800 series publications
  • Knowledge of Joint instructions and manuals
  • Knowledge of DoD policy around non-traditional IT Cybersecurity, including supply chain risk management
  • Strong verbal and written communication, as well as organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills

Clearance

Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000 to $141,000 per year (USD).

Work Model
