Job Description

Cybersecurity Operations Lead will oversee day-to-day security operations, monitoring, and remediation while coordinating with IT and program stakeholders to support federal security compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security events, logs, and alerts; manage triage, escalation, incident response, and remediation coordination.
  • Leverage SIEM and endpoint-security capabilities to correlate activity and maintain operational situational awareness.
  • Perform vulnerability analysis, prioritize mitigation actions, and document closure evidence.
  • Coordinate with system, network, Microsoft 365, and risk personnel to support secure operations and reporting.
  • Document, implement, and provide evidence for security and administrative controls aligned with applicable federal requirements.
  • Coordinate across cybersecurity, IT operations, and program management stakeholders to support control execution and compliance needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or SOC environments.
  • Minimum 5 years supporting federal cybersecurity programs.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms, log analysis, and security event correlation.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability analysis and applying appropriate security mitigations.
  • CISSP certification or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform overlapping cybersecurity functions in federal IT compliance environments, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and Zero Trust.
  • U.S. citizenship required for personnel assigned to this contract.
  • A role-appropriate, favorably adjudicated background investigation is required before work begins unless the Contracting Officer approves otherwise in writing; most roles require Tier 2.

Physical Demands

  • Regular requirement to talk or hear.
  • Ability to perform typical office activities, including remaining seated for computer entry, participating in filing activity, and lifting/carrying office supplies.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • May require more than 40 hours per week to perform essential duties.
  • Fine hand manipulation, including keyboarding.

Work Environment

  • May work prolonged or irregular hours.
  • Frequent local travel; occasional statewide or out-of-state travel.
  • Noise level is usually moderate.
  • Exposure to general office conditions while performing office duties.

Minimum Experience: 5 years
