Job Description
Information Technology Senior Management Forum is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer II to build ingestion, reporting, and data models for a continuous controls monitoring platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate API-based ingestion pipelines pulling data from security and cloud platforms, including authentication, pagination, rate limits, incremental loads, and schema change handling.
- Build and maintain a full-stack reporting application on AWS, covering the front end, API layer, and supporting infrastructure with focus on performance, access control, and usability.
- Develop self-service tools for engineering teams to interact with CCM data (for example: submitting suppressions and exceptions, plus automated notifications).
- Create and maintain data models in Snowflake with well-tested SQL supporting controls, scoring, and trend reporting.
- Help expand the platform by contributing to new compliance controls and reporting domains as coverage grows into additional security domains.
- Define infrastructure as code and deliver changes through GitHub Actions pipelines using automated testing, environment promotion, and secure release practices.
- Produce clear specifications and documentation, leveraging AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflow.
- Collaborate with security, IAM, cloud, and engineering teams to translate data needs into working features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years of experience in a related field (alternative combinations considered, such as a master’s degree with up to 2 years, or 14 years experience in a related field).
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a combination.
- Python skills, including building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience building web applications with a modern front-end framework and a backend API layer.
- Hands-on AWS experience with services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Infrastructure as code experience with Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Strong SQL and experience with a cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake.
- Comfort with Git-based workflows and CI/CD, ideally GitHub Actions.
- Ability to take an ambiguous problem, break it down, and deliver incrementally.
- Clear written communication, including explaining technical work to non-technical stakeholders.
