Job Description

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to serve as an AI Trainer, supporting the development of AI systems focused on cybersecurity. In this contract role, you will evaluate model outputs, work through security technical challenges, and provide feedback that informs future AI security model improvements.

Role Overview

You will review AI-generated cybersecurity content for accuracy and practical validity, contribute security-focused technical problem-solving, and supply clear explanations and security-relevant code. The position is designed to be completed fully remotely with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Assess AI-generated cybersecurity material, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, for real-world accuracy and validity.
  • Develop and resolve security-focused technical problems used to train AI systems.
  • Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
  • Provide feedback that directly contributes to shaping the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or adjacent fields, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Coding experience required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
  • Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) and strong writing skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar credentials.
