Cybersecurity Awareness Associate II

This role develops expertise in analyzing cybersecurity awareness findings and coordinating inputs that strengthen risk, policy, and control processes. The position also supports the planning, creation, and delivery of employee cybersecurity awareness and training, including social engineering campaigns and program effectiveness measurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Security Operations Center (SOC), Threat Intelligence, and other cybersecurity teams to develop, coordinate, and distribute cybersecurity alerts, threat advisories, and actionable security guidance.
• Convert technical threats into clear, business-focused messaging that helps employees recognize and respond to emerging risks.
• Design, develop, and maintain cybersecurity awareness and education materials aligned to enterprise security objectives and secure employee behaviors.
• Create learning experiences for diverse audiences across all organizational levels.
• Develop and manage ongoing cybersecurity communications, including newsletters, awareness campaigns, threat advisories, and executive messaging.
• Ensure employees receive timely updates on emerging threats, security best practices, and organizational cybersecurity initiatives.
• Create and deliver cybersecurity tips and micro-learning content that reinforce secure behaviors and provide practical guidance for identifying and avoiding threats such as phishing, vishing, smishing, quishing, social engineering, and account compromise.
• Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness presentations for leadership teams, employee groups, onboarding programs, town halls, and enterprise-wide events.
• Communicate cybersecurity concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead the development, promotion, and ongoing support of the Cyber Champion program, including coordinating communications, meetings, awareness activities, and training resources.
• Manage and maintain the Cyber Safety SharePoint site as a central hub for cybersecurity awareness resources, training materials, communications, toolkits, alerts, and knowledge articles.
• Keep content accurate, relevant, engaging, and aligned with evolving cybersecurity risks and business priorities.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute company-wide cybersecurity events, awareness campaigns, workshops, webinars, and guest speaker engagements, including logistics, content development, vendor coordination, audiovisual requirements, and employee engagement activities.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity vendors, consultants, and strategic partners through procurement, implementation, and ongoing management lifecycle to support successful awareness and training initiatives.
• Evaluate and measure cybersecurity awareness program effectiveness using metrics, reporting, and employee feedback.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements that strengthen cybersecurity maturity and reduce human risk.
• Provide advanced subject matter expertise in cybersecurity awareness, communications, and employee engagement, and mentor junior team members by sharing best practices to support professional development.
• Review and enhance cybersecurity awareness documentation, training materials, presentations, and executive communications.
• Collaborate across Information Security, IT, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, and business units to advance cybersecurity awareness goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Typically requires 2 years of related experience.
• 3-5 years of experience developing, facilitating, implementing, and communicating training material, policies, and information to a corporate audience.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience working within IT and/or enterprise cybersecurity, including experience in cybersecurity process, risk assessments, governance, and/or project management.
• 3-5 years of experience working collaboratively or independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple simultaneous tasks.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong business and executive communication skills, including experience developing presentations, executive briefings, awareness campaigns, newsletters, training materials, and enterprise communications.
• Demonstrated ability to influence employee behaviors and promote security awareness through strategic communications, education, and engagement initiatives.
• Ability to develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness content across communication channels including SharePoint sites, presentations, newsletters, videos, alerts, toolkits, and digital communications.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership, employee groups, business stakeholders, and large audiences.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills to measure program effectiveness, employee engagement, and awareness outcomes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and digital communication platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment while working independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and external partners.
